  5. You need 4 Tablespoons of Sugar (White).
  6. Prepare 3 of Fresh sweet Pan Patta (Betel Leaf).
  7. Prepare 4 Teaspoons of rose petals Dried edibles.
  8. Prepare 1/4 Cup of Water.

Gulkand Phirni instructions

  1. Bring the milk to a boil and reduce heat. Let it boil for another 15 minutes until its colour changes lightly to a peach (you see this change only if you watch closely)..
  2. Add sugar and stir intermittently or milk would not get thickened evenly..
  3. Drain water from the soaked rice and grind it to a smooth paste. Add 1/4 cup water and add it to the milk, while constantly stirring, so that lumps do not form..
  4. Remove from flame and let it cool for 5 mins and then add gulkand slowly and stir until it dissolves completely..
  5. Now take a pan patta and cut it vertically, into 2. Insert one half into the serving bowl. Fill the bowl upto little less than the brim (so that it does not spill when you carry it) Sprinkle pista and rose petals for prettying it up. Finish off the rest of the servings bowls in the same way..
  6. Chill it in the freezer for 30 minutes or set. You are ready to feast with your friends and family!.
