Spiced Yogurt Rice ~ தயிர் சாதம் instructions

  1. Cook your rice and mix the yogurt in and set aside.
  2. Saute some mustard seeds, channa dal and urad dal in some oil.
  3. Next add the dried red chillies, green chillies, curry leaves and the ginger paste.
  4. I added a pinch of tumeric because I wanted some color haha.
  5. I doubt people add any to yogurt rice.
  6. Transfer this along with some salt to the yogurt and rice and mix well.
  7. People add grapes as well to yogurt rice, so if you fancy that you can add it too.
  8. I garnished it with some freshly coriander leaves and made some curried potatoes.
