Ingredients of Coconut Rice
- You need 1 of . 5 cups boiled rice.
- Prepare 1 cup of grated coconut.
- It's 5 of dry red chilli deseeded.
- Prepare 1 of green chilli.
- You need 6 of tblspn peanuts.
- You need 1 of tspn sesame seeds.
- Prepare 3 of tblspn coconut oil.
- You need 1 of tspn chana dal.
- It's 1 of tspn urad dal.
- It's 1 pinch of hing.
- Prepare 1/4 of tspn haldi powder.
- It's leaves of Few curry.
- You need 2 of tspn salt.
- It's 1 of tspn mustard seeds.
Coconut Rice instructions
- First lets make paste for the rice..
- Put one cup grated coconut in the mixing jar by adding 3 dry red chilli deseeded, 1 tspn sesame seeds, green chilli and 3 tbspn peanuts..
- Now add two tblspn of water and blend it into semi fine paste..
- Now take a kadai and add 3 tblspn coconut oil in it..
- Now put 3 tblspn peanuts and saute it..
- But stirr it continously on low flame so that it does not get burnt..
- Now add 1 tspn mustard seeds..
- When it starts spluttering then add chana and urad dal into it..
- Stirr it continously till it gets brown in colour..
- After that add dry red chilli deseeded, hing, curry leaves and turmeric powder..
- Saute it by stirring continously..
- Now add the coconut paste..
- Stirr it while mixing it 3 to 4 mins..
- Now add salt and mix it again..
- Now switch off the flame..
- Now we have to mix this Coconut paste into cooked rice..
- So mix the Cooked rice into the Coconut paste very well so that they are combined to each other properly..
- Now it's ready to eat..
- Serve it with yogurt or chips..
- I have added green chutney also..
