Ingredients of Shahi Firni
- It's 1 ltr of full fat milk.
- It's 1/4 cup of sugar or to taste.
- It's 2 tbsp of basmati rice.
- It's 1/2 cup of mawa.
- You need of Chopped dryfruit of your choice.
- You need 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder.
Shahi Firni step by step
- Soak the rice for 30 to 45 mins.then grind it to make a course paste keep aside..
- Now in a large kadai boil 1 litre milk.stir occasionally and simmer for 10 minutes.keep the flame on low or till milk thickens..
- Now put prepared course rice paste and mix it well.stir continuously 5mins to avoid lumps.add sugar(adjust sugar measurement as per your sweet taste) or add mawa cook for another 5min stirring in between..
- Cook the milk till the rice is cooked.pour in bowls and on top put chopped dryfruit and keep in refrigerator for 45mins..
- It's tastes very good when served chilled so always serve chilled..
