Ingredients of Mango Barfi
- You need 1 of large sweet ripe mango.
- Prepare 150 grams of sweetened khoya/mava.
- It's 1.5 teaspoon of ground cardamom powder.
- You need 1 tablespoon of ghee+ 1 teaspoon for greasing.
- It's 100 grams of Milk powder.
- It's 100 grams of powdered mixed nuts.
- Prepare 5-6 of pistachios slivered fine.
Mango Barfi instructions
- Peel and purée the mango into a paste without any water.
- Melt 1 tablespoon ghee in a heavy bottom pan and sauté the khoya until softened.
- Once done, add the mango purée and mix well.
- Continue to stir and cook on medium-Low heat as the mix thickens.
- Add the milk powder, cardamom and mixed nuts.
- Combine well and keep cooking until the mix starts coming together.
- Grease a plate using a teaspoon of ghee.
- Take off heat and transfer the mixture onto the greased plate.
- Spread well and sprinkle sliced pistachios.
- Let cool a bit before cutting in desired shapes-barfis / laddoos....
