Ingredients of Mango Barfi

  1. You need 1 of large sweet ripe mango.
  2. Prepare 150 grams of sweetened khoya/mava.
  3. It's 1.5 teaspoon of ground cardamom powder.
  4. You need 1 tablespoon of ghee+ 1 teaspoon for greasing.
  5. It's 100 grams of Milk powder.
  6. It's 100 grams of powdered mixed nuts.
  7. Prepare 5-6 of pistachios slivered fine.

Mango Barfi instructions

  1. Peel and purée the mango into a paste without any water.
  2. Melt 1 tablespoon ghee in a heavy bottom pan and sauté the khoya until softened.
  3. Once done, add the mango purée and mix well.
  4. Continue to stir and cook on medium-Low heat as the mix thickens.
  5. Add the milk powder, cardamom and mixed nuts.
  6. Combine well and keep cooking until the mix starts coming together.
  7. Grease a plate using a teaspoon of ghee.
  8. Take off heat and transfer the mixture onto the greased plate.
  9. Spread well and sprinkle sliced pistachios.
  10. Let cool a bit before cutting in desired shapes-barfis / laddoos....
  11. Store refrigerated airtight and enjoy!(tastes best when cold).
