Mawa Barfi You can have Mawa Barfi using 10 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Ingredients of Mawa Barfi

  1. It's 2 cups of Milk.
  2. You need 1 cup of Milk powder.
  3. Prepare As needed of Khoya/ Mawa (same as milk powder).
  4. You need 2-3 tbsp of Condensed milk.
  5. You need As required of Sugar powder (optional).
  6. You need 1/2 tbsp or just a pinch of Cardamom powder.
  7. It's As required of Butter (just for spreading/ grecce).
  8. Prepare As required of Chopped cashew and pistachio.
  9. It's As required of Chopped almonds.
  10. It's 1-2 tbsp of Maida/ all purpose flour.

Mawa Barfi instructions

  1. Take a pot (in which you can stair the mixture easily). Add milk into it and give a quick boil to in high flame. After the first boil off the flame and rest the milk (make sure it should be hot then room temperature when you add milk powder to it). It's necessary to cold the milk a bit otherwise it may create lumps of milk powder..
  2. Now add the milk powder stair it well then again put it into a high flame. Keep staring. After few minutes you can notice it becoming thick so on that moment add the Khoya/ mawa (grated) on that mixture. Now low the flame..
  3. Add cardamom powder and stair continuously. Add condensed milk after adding cardamom. Now add maida/ all purpose flour to give it a perfect thickness or a good binding. After this you have to slow the flame..
  4. Sugar(powder) is not essential because we are already added milk powder & condensed milk. But still if you want you can add (it's absolutely optional). In this step you can add chopped cashew and pistachio to it..
  5. Now after 15-20 minutes of staring after add all the things it's done. Now off the flame. Now take a plate or a mold (of your own choice). Grease it with butter and pour the batter into it. And put that mold/plate into fridge for 1-2 hours. Just to settled it down..
