- Take sweet potatoes and pressure cook for 2 whistles adding salt..
- To make sugar syrup add sugar,salt, cardamom and water. Boil this till syrupy. Set apart to cool..
- Cool and peel sweetpotato smash well without any lumps..
- Add maidha and baking soda. Knead together..
- Take a small portion and roll gently between palms into smooth balls..
- Heat oil in pan and drop the balls. Deep fry evenly till brown..
- Drain and set aside. The jamun is ready to be dropped in sugar syrup..
- Soak in sugar syrup for atleast 2 hours. Enjoy!.
