Stuffed Dahi Gujiya (Dahi Vada) step by step

  1. Wash and soak urad dal for 4-5 hours..
  2. Drain water and grind urad dal to fine paste with little water. Whisk it for 10 minutes with hand. Add salt and mix it..
  3. Make chilli and ginger paste..
  4. Heat oil. Now wet your hands and take little portion of urad dal paste on your hand and flatten it, keep one half of cashew, one raisin and a small portion of ginger-chilli paste on one side and cover it with other side. Deep fry Vada till golden brown on slow flame..
  5. Repeat the same procedure for all remaining vadas..
  6. In a big vessel take water add little salt. Now deep all vadas in water for 10 mins. Squeeze water out of all vadas and keep aside..
  7. Take curd and seive it. Add salt and sugar to it. And mix gently..
  8. Now while serving : take a bowl and place one Vada in it. Pour whisked curd over it. Add tamarind and green chutney above it. Sprinkle red chilli powder, cumin powder on it..
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander and sev. Enjoy your Gujiya Dahi Vada..
