Ingredients of Sooji Gulab jamun

  1. It's 1 cup of Sooji.
  2. Prepare 1 tsp of lemon juice.
  3. You need 1 cup of sugar.
  4. It's 3 cup of water.
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp of powder sugar.
  6. Prepare 2 Tbsp of Chopped pistachios.
  7. Prepare As needed of Desi ghee for frying.
  8. You need 1 cup of milk.
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp of elaichi (Cardamom)powder.

Sooji Gulab jamun step by step

  1. Heat 1/2tsp ghee in a pan add suji and roast till fragrant..
  2. Boil milk and add it to suji,cook it till nicely soft but no milk left in vessel, stir continue..
  3. Now remove it in a big plate.kepp it little cool. Add add powder sugar and mix well apply little ghee on palms and knead it for 10 -12 minutes till smooth..
  4. Make small balls and give oval shape to balls, be careful that there is no cracks on it..
  5. Heat water in a big vessel add sugar.When sugar dissolves add elaichi powder and lemon juice.Boil for another 2 minutes. cover lid to remain it hot..
  6. Take enough ghee ina kadhai,heat and deep fry the balls till golden brown in colour.fry on low flame..
  7. Now add balls in sugar syrup and cook for 10 minutes and than switch off the gas.keep gulab jamun in syrup for atleast 3-4 hours..
  8. At the time to serve garnish with pistachios and serve..
