Ingredients of Sooji Gulab jamun
- It's 1 cup of Sooji.
- Prepare 1 tsp of lemon juice.
- You need 1 cup of sugar.
- It's 3 cup of water.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of powder sugar.
- Prepare 2 Tbsp of Chopped pistachios.
- Prepare As needed of Desi ghee for frying.
- You need 1 cup of milk.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of elaichi (Cardamom)powder.
Sooji Gulab jamun step by step
- Heat 1/2tsp ghee in a pan add suji and roast till fragrant..
- Boil milk and add it to suji,cook it till nicely soft but no milk left in vessel, stir continue..
- Now remove it in a big plate.kepp it little cool. Add add powder sugar and mix well apply little ghee on palms and knead it for 10 -12 minutes till smooth..
- Make small balls and give oval shape to balls, be careful that there is no cracks on it..
- Heat water in a big vessel add sugar.When sugar dissolves add elaichi powder and lemon juice.Boil for another 2 minutes. cover lid to remain it hot..
- Take enough ghee ina kadhai,heat and deep fry the balls till golden brown in colour.fry on low flame..
- Now add balls in sugar syrup and cook for 10 minutes and than switch off the gas.keep gulab jamun in syrup for atleast 3-4 hours..
- At the time to serve garnish with pistachios and serve..
