- Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish keep aside.
- Now temper jeera seeds and bay leaf.
- Add the masala paste,jeera powder and red chilli Powder.
- Saute well adding salt and turmeric powder.
- Add tomato puree and saute well till it starts releasing oil.
- Add water and boil.
- Add the fried fish and cover it for a while.
- Finally add sugar (optional) and garam masala powder.
