Ingredients of Sprouts Kadhi

  1. You need 1 cup of Mixed sprouts.
  2. You need 11/4 cup of low fat yogurt.
  3. It's 13/4 cups of water.
  4. Prepare to taste of salt.
  5. It's 2 teaspoon of oil.
  6. It's 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds.
  7. You need 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds.
  8. It's 1/2 teaspoon of grated ginger.
  9. It's 1-2 teaspoon of finely chopped green chilies.
  10. Prepare 2 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
  11. It's 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric.
  12. It's 3-4 tbsp of besan/ rajgira flour.
  13. Prepare 2 of red chilies broken.
  14. It's 1/4 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
  15. You need 1 pinch of hing /asafoetida.

Sprouts Kadhi step by step

  1. Heat oil in pressure cooker.
  2. Splutter mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  3. Add red chilies, ginger and hing. Saute for few seconds.
  4. Add green chilies and saute for few seconds, add in sprouts.
  5. Add spice powders, 1.5 cups water and salt. Mix well.
  6. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles over medium heat until done.
  7. Meanwhile whisk yogurt in a bowl.
  8. Add remaining water and besan. You can add other gluten free flours too in place of besan for making it more nutritious.
  9. Whisk well until well combined and lump free.
  10. Once steam is naturally released, open the lid.
  11. Add in whisked yogurt mix and mix well over low medium heat.
  12. Simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
  13. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
