Ingredients of Chicken Masala
- It's 1 kg of washed and dried chicken.
- It's 5 tbsp of mustard oil.
- Prepare 3 cup of sliced onion.
- Prepare 2 cup of chopped tomatoes.
- It's 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.
- You need 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
- You need 1 tsp of chilli powder.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder.
- You need 1 tsp of cumin powder.
- You need 1/2 tsp of coriander powder.
- You need 1 tsp of chicken masala.
- You need 2-3 of Bay leaves.
- You need 2 pieces of Green cardamom.
- It's 1 of long stick cinnamon.
- It's 1 tsp of Garam masala.
- You need 1 tsp of chopped coriander.
Chicken Masala step by step
- Marinate the chicken with turmeric powder,red chilli powder,salt and some mustard oil for 20 minutes..
- Heat a wide bottom vessel and add mustard oil.Add whole spices (cinnamon,bay leaves,green cardamom and cumin seeds).
- Add sliced onions and cook till light golden brown.Then add ginger garlic paste to it.Saute it for few minutes.Add chopped tomatoes to it.Cook for some minutes..
- After the oil separates from the masala and the raw smell of ginger garlic paste goes away,add the marinated chicken and mix well..
- Then add powdered spices (cumin powder,coriander powder and red chilli powder) and mix well.Cover the chicken and let it cook for 20 - 25 minutes..
- Once the juices dry off and the masala coats the chicken uniformly, add the garam massala and stir it well..
- Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and serve hot..
