  2. take a small clean piece of muslin cloth.put the 1st 5 ingredients on the cloth & tie it up to form a small bundle.
  3. wash the rice thoroughly & drain.
  4. add the rice, water, cloth bundle and bay leaves in a pressure cooker and cook the rice for 2 whistles OR add the rice, water(adjust amount), cloth bundle and bay leaves to a saucepan & cook the rice(dont over cook,grains should remain separate & not stick).
  5. after pressure cooker releases pressure or after the rice is cooked spread the rice on a plate so as not to form lumps!!!.
  6. now in a frying pan heat the oil and add the cumin seeds.
  7. when the cumin seeds begin to crackle add the sliced green chilli & sliced onion.
  8. when the onion starts to colour add the cashew nuts and saute till onion turns golden brown.
  9. now add the peas, salt and rice and mix thoroughly heating the rice without cookin it further!!!garnish it with most of the coriander leaves and serve wid raita.

  11. beat the curd adding water to dilute it to desired consistency.
  12. add all other ingredients to the curd and mix thoroughly!!!garnish it with the rest of the coriander leaves and serve!!!.
