Kesariya Gosht ka Halwa step by step
- Wash the mince meat properly. Boil it with salt and half cinnamon stick for 4 to 5 minutes and then drain the water. Repeat this process twice. Wash it with water. Remove the stick from the meat. This process will help in making the mince softer and also to remove the meaty smell..
- In a pan heat clarified butter and add drained mince in it. Cook till it changes colour. It will take around 7 to 8 minutes..
- Now add milk and give it a stir..
- When milk starts to boil add sugar and cardamom powder and give it a mix..
- Make a paste of cashewnuts and de skinned almonds. When the sugar is dissolved in the milk add this paste into the mixture and stir continuously on low to medium heat..
- When the mixture starts thickening add grated khoya into the mixture and mix properly..
- Add saffron dipped in water into the mixture and mix nicely..
- Now add kewra essence and let it simmer till it leaves sides..
