Ingredients of Oats Dahi Bhallas

  1. It's 1 cup of suji.
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of oats.
  3. You need 1/2 cup of curd.
  4. Prepare 1 tsp of chopped green chillies.
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp of chopped ginger.
  6. You need 1/2 tsp of roasted cumin seeds powder.
  7. Prepare 1/2 tsp of coarsely crushed black pepper powder.
  8. Prepare 2 tsp of eno fruit salt.
  9. It's to taste of Salt.
  10. It's Pinch of asafoetida.
  11. You need of Stuffing : 1 glass buttermilk.
  12. It's 1.5 cup of thick curd.
  13. Prepare 1 tbsp of khajur imli chutney.
  14. It's 1 tbsp of coriander Chutney.
  15. You need Pinch of red chilli powder.
  16. You need Pinch of roasted cumin seeds powder.
  17. Prepare 1 tbsp of sugar.
  18. Prepare leaves of Freshly chopped coriander.
  19. You need 1-2 tbsp of oil.

Oats Dahi Bhallas step by step

  1. Mix suji, oats and curd along with salt, ginger, green chillies and some water..
  2. Make a thick batter and leave aside for 30 minutes..
  3. Now take an appe pan and heat it..
  4. Brush each pouch with oil..
  5. Divide the batter into two and add 1 tsp of eno fruit salt, jeera and pepper to it and mix well..
  6. It should be of dropping consistency..
  7. Now pour appe into each appe pouch up to half and add a few chopped raisins and cashews on it..
  8. Again top it with some batter and cook on low flame..
  9. Flip and cook from both the sides..
  10. Repeat with the remaining batter..
  11. Add eno just before pouring in the appe pouch..
  12. Soak the ready bhallas into the buttermilk mixture and leave for 1/2 hour to absorb the water from the curd by the time they will double in size..
  13. For serving: Take chilled thick curd,season with salt and sugar..
  14. Assemble bhallas in a serving dish and add the curd, both the chutneys..
  15. Garnish with coriander leaves, pinch of red chilli powder and roasted cumin seeds powder..
  16. Serve immediately..
