Ingredients of Lauki Barfi
- Prepare 3.5 cups of full fat milk.
- It's 2 cups of grated Lauki.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of Cardamom powder.
- It's 1.5 cups of Khoya grated.
- Prepare For greasing of Ghee.
- It's 1/2 cup of Sugar.
- You need 3 tbsp of nuts.
- You need 4 tbsp of nuts to garnish.
- It's Few of Drops Green food colouring - optional.
Lauki Barfi instructions
- Bring milk to boil in a pan, stirring occasionally.
- Add lauki and mix well.
- Cook until mix starts thickening.
- Add sugar and mix well..
- Add khoya and mix well. cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Optionally add food colouring and mix well.
- Add 3 tbsp nuts and cardamom. mix well. cook until mixture thickens completely.
- Pour the mixture in prepared greased dish. level evenly.
- Garnish with nuts. refrigerate until set.
- Slice the barfi into desired shape. store in airtight container and refrigerate upto 2 days. Serve cold.
