- You need 3 cup of wheat flour.
- It's 1 cup of all purpose flour.

Thekua (sometimes called Khajur) is a traditional rural homemade cookie of northern India. It is very nutritious and once prepared can be stored for several weeks without any refrigeration.
Sweet thokoa/ thekua step by step
- First prepare sugar syrup by adding water and sugar and boil it for 3-4 minutes. (Do not form any strand). Let it cool down completely..
- Now soak the biscuit in the sugar syrup..
- In a large bowl add both the flour baking powder and ghee mix it well then add coconut paste and by adding sugar syrup knead it to make super soft dough. The dough should be little sticky. (use water if required)..
- Now apply some oil on the top of the dough and put it in warm place for 10-12 hours or overnight..
- Next day knead the dough again and make round ball of it then flatten it and fry it in the preheated oil from all sides on medium heat..
- Our thokoa is ready to serve..
