Ingredients of Dry Dates Halwa
- It's 250 g of dry dates.
- You need 500 ml - 1ltr of milk.
- It's 2 tbsp of or more ghee.
- Prepare Handful of cashews, almonds and dry fruits of choice.
- Prepare 1 tsp of cardamom powder.
- It's 2 tbsp of jaggery / honey / sugar / sweetener of choice (optional).

- Remove the seeds from the dry dates and grind it to a coarse powder in a blender..
- Soak the ground dates in milk for 8 hours or overnight in refrigerator..
- Take the soaked dates and separate it from remaining milk. Keep the separated milk aside..
- In the same pan, add ghee. Add in the cashews, almonds etc. Heat it until golden brown. Then keep aside..
- In a hot pan, add ghee. Put in the soaked ground dates and stir it until golden brown. Add more ghee if desired..
- Add the remaining milk. Keep stirring until the milk almost but not completely evaporates..
- Add in jaggery / honey / sugar if desired more sweetness. This step is totally optional as the dates are already naturally sweet..
- Add cardamom powder and stir..
- Mix in the dry fruits. Ready to serve hot..
