Ingredients of Moong Dal Paratha
- Prepare 1 cup of wheat flour.
- Prepare 1 cup of moong dal.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of red chill powder.
- It's 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder.
- You need 1 tbsp of amchur powder.
- It's 1 tbsp of cumin powder.
- It's 1 tbsp of gram masala.
- You need of green chillies 2 (optional).
- You need leaves of coriander.
- Prepare to taste of salt.
- It's of oil/ghee.
Moong Dal Paratha step by step
- In a bowl take wheat flour and mix water with to make soft dough and keep it aside for 10 mins.cover it with lid..
- Soak moong dal for 2 hours.Drain the water and boil with little water little it get cooked. Do not over cook,it will become sticky..
- Once dal is cooked remove it in plate and allow it to cool to room temperature..
- Mix all the dry masalas and coriander leaves to the dal. Mix it properly and make the stuffing ready..
- Take a fist full of dough and roll it slightly to make small puri. Placethe stuffing ball on it and close all the side to cover the stuffing..
- Roll this using rolling pin into paratha without putting much pressure. Paratha should be little bit thick,do not roll it thin..
- Heat tawa and place the paratha on it and roast it on medium flame by applying ghee/oil to it. Both should get cooked well, then remove it and place it on the paratha basket..
- Repeat this process with rest of the dough and stuffing. Serve hot with curd or pickle..
