Multi Lentil/Daal Laddoo You can have Multi Lentil/Daal Laddoo using 8 ingredients and 12 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

Ingredients of Multi Lentil/Daal Laddoo

  1. You need 1 cup of Split black gram(urad daal).
  2. Prepare 1 cup of green gram(green Moong daal).
  3. Prepare 1 cup of Bengal gram(chana daal).
  4. Prepare 1 cup of jaggery powder.
  5. Prepare 1 cup of ghee(melted and at room temperature).
  6. Prepare 1/2 cup of roasted ragi flour.
  7. You need 1/2 cup of roasted,mixed powdered nuts of your choice.
  8. It's 4-5 tablespoon of dedicated coconut.

Multi Lentil/Daal Laddoo step by step

  1. On a non stick pan, dry roast all the daals separately until slightly fragrant on Low heat(without burning/browning them).
  2. Place them all on a plate to cool off for sometime.
  3. Blend them together if possible (depending upon the capacity of your grinder) or separately and place them in a bowl.
  4. Add the Ragi flour, nuts and jaggery powder. mix well.
  5. Heat the ghee slightly on gas stove/ a microwave. Be sure to warm it only.
  6. Layer the desiccated coconut on a plate.
  7. Now add the ghee gradually and start to bind the mixture slowly(do not add all the ghee at once).
  8. Create the laddoos while the mixture is warm(after mixing the ghee).
  9. Coat every laddoo with the desiccated coconut(optional).
  10. Store airtight.
  11. My tip:you need not refrigerate these laddoos, as only ghee is used to bind them.
  12. My tip:very useful recipe for new mothers, 1 tablespoon of fenugreek seed powder is added too. Ragi increases iron and fenugreek will help milk production.
