Ingredients of Puffed Millet Energy Bars

  1. You need 150 gm of puffed millets.
  2. It's 100 gm of Peanut butter.
  3. It's 100 gm of desiccated coconut.
  4. You need 150 gm of deseeded and grated soft dates.
  5. Prepare Handful of chopped walnuts.
  6. Prepare Handful of chopped/finely sliced almonds.
  7. You need 2 Tb of toasted and ground flaxseeds.
  8. Prepare 2 Tb of toasted and ground sunflower seeds.
  9. Prepare 1 Tb of Chia seeds soaked for 15 minutes.

Puffed Millet Energy Bars instructions

  1. Combine puffed millets,dates and peanuts in a saucepan and sauté on Low heat for 2-3 minutes till the peanut butter combined well by melting.
  2. Transfer immediately in a mixing bowl.
  3. While warm, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well(coconut either at this stage or for dressing).
  4. Grease/align a parchment paper in a baking dish.
  5. Transfer the mix into the dish and spread well by levelling the surface well.
  6. If you have not added the desiccated coconut earlier, you may now add it as a dressing on top.
  7. Refrigerate for minimum 6-8 hours or overnight.
  8. Demould the next day and cut into pieces and store airtight till consumption.
  9. Tip: if you prefer your energy bar very crunchy you may choose to coarsely chop the seeds and not ground them.
