Ingredients of Leftover daal prantha
- You need 1 cup of Wheat flour.
- Prepare 2 tbs of Besan(gram flour).
- Prepare to taste of Salt.
- It's 1 tsp of Aijwayan (carom seeds).
- You need 1 of Green chilli chopped.
- It's 1 of Onion chopped.
- You need 2 tbsp of Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbs.
- You need 1/2 cup of Green moong dal with drumsticks leaves 1/2 cup.
- You need 1 tbs of Oil.
- Prepare as needed of Ghee for roasting prantha.
I usually tend to prepare Dal-rice on Fridays to keep it lighter, and keep a bowl full of Daal aside to prepare these Parathas the next morning. Although you may use any yellow variety of daal to prepare these, I personally like Urad daal ( Split yellow lentil ) for this recipe. Paratha is a common term used for Indian flat-bread prepared with wheat flour and dal ka paratha means Indian flat-bread prepared with leftover lentils. My kids love these paratha, they will finish these up without any fuss.
Leftover daal prantha instructions
- Knead the dough smooth with help of little water be careful dal has also little water if need then only add little water..
- Keep aside for 15 minutes to make smooth. Now take a ball of dough and roll it little thick and roasted on hot tawa stead little ghee on both sides and cook till golden from both sides.
- Serve hot with curd or butter but I enjoy with homemade pickle of krela (bitter gourd) really enjoyed the breakfast.
