Ingredients of Peanut Jaggery Barfi

  1. It's 200 gm of raw peanuts.
  2. It's 150 gm of fresh/desiccated coconut.
  3. You need 150 gm of jaggery powdered.
  4. You need 100 gm of ghee.
  5. Prepare 100 gm of mixed nuts powdered.
  6. You need 4-5 of almonds sliced for garnishing.
  7. It's 4-5 of pistachios sliced for garnishing.

Peanut Jaggery Barfi step by step

  1. Dry roast the peanuts and coconut on medium-Low heat for 5-7 minutes and take off heat.
  2. Grind peanuts,coconut into a fine powder.
  3. Melt ghee in a non stick pan over Low heat.
  4. Add the ground peanuts-coconut mix and sauté for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Once the ghee seems to have been well blended with the mix, add the jaggery powder, mixed nuts and mix well.
  6. Cook on Low heat until the mix starts to leave the sides of the pan and the jaggery is well combined with the rest of the ingredients.
  7. Take off heat.
  8. Pour in the mix on a greased flat surface and garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios.
  9. Make cut marks while the mix is still warm so that it would be easy to separate the barfi pieces after it's set.
  10. Let cool and separate the pieces and store airtight.
