Shahi Tukda. Shahi tukda is much similar to the hyderabadi double ka meeta. Traditionally shahi tukda is made by deep frying bread pieces in ghee until golden and crisp. Then they are dipped in sugar syrup.

Ingredients of Shahi Tukda
- Prepare 1 ltr of full fat milk.
- You need 1 pinch of saffron.
- It's 1 tsp of cardamom powder.
- It's 4-5 slices of white bread.
- It's 3/4 cup of milk powder.
- Prepare 1 cup of sugar.
- Prepare 1 cup of water.
- It's 2 tsp of cornflour.
- It's As required of Ghee to (frying bread).

Shahi Tukda step by step
- First for making sugar syrup in a pan add sugar and water stir till sugar dissolved completely, keep the flame low medium and saffron strings and let it cook for another 8-10 mins..
- Meanwhile heat ghee in a pan cut the bread into 2 halves and fry them until nice golden in colour...
- Sock the fried bread into sugar syrup for few mins...
- Next in heavy bottomed pan add milk and bring it up to a boil. Keep the flame low now in a small bowl add cornflour and 1 tbsp cold milk. mix to make lumps free paste and add into the milk pan stir continuously. Now add milk powder and stir well (there shouldn't be any lumps).
- Now add cardamom powder and mix well and cook for few minutes until it reduces half or thick rabdi is formed...
- For serving- In a serving plate arranged socked bread pieces then pour prepared rabdi on it and garnish with some almonds and pista flakes or with some rose petals......
- Delicious SHAHI TUKDA is ready to serve.......
