- Soak the dals for 1-2 hours in water..
- Drain the water and take the dals, chillies, ginger in a mixer jar and grind to a coarse paste without using any water..
- In a large mixing bowl take flour and add salt, chilli powder, garam masala, coriander leaves and crushed fennel seeds and mix..
- Now add the dal paste and oil. Knead a semi-tough dough using little water..
- Apply a teaspoon of oil and keep the dough covered to rest for 10-20 minutes..
- Pinch a big lemon sized dough ball and roll out a thick circle. Apply few drops of oil, spread and fold into triangle..
