Ingredients of Methi (Fenugreek) Chicken Masala

  1. It's 500 g of Curry cut Chicken.
  2. It's 11/4 cup of finely chopped methi/ Fenugreek leaves.
  3. Prepare 1 cup of finely chopped onion.
  4. Prepare 1 teaspoon of Lemon juice.
  5. Prepare 2-3 tbsp of oil.
  6. You need to taste of Salt.
  7. You need 1/2 cup of whisked yogurt.
  8. You need 1 teaspoon of Ginger garlic paste.

Methi (Fenugreek) Chicken Masala step by step

  1. Heat 2-3 tbsp oil in a pan.
  2. Add all whole spices and mix well. Saute until aromatic.
  3. Add in 1 cup finely chopped onion.
  4. Saute until Onions are soft and translucent.
  5. Add green chilies and ginger garlic paste. Saute until raw aroma disappears.
  6. Meanwhile in a bowl, add 1/2 cup whisked yogurt.
  7. Add in all spice powders to yogurt.
  8. Add in besan/maida and whisk well.
  9. Reduce the heat to low and add the yogurt mixture to pan and mix well.
  10. Add salt and mix well.
  11. Add 1/2 kg cleaned curry cut chicken and mix well.
  12. Over high heat, cook for 3-4 minutes.
  13. Add water as required for curry and mix well.
  14. Cover and cook over low medium heat for 15-20 minutes stirring occasionally.
  15. Add in Methi leaves and mix well.
  16. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
  17. Add lemon juice and mix well. Switch off.
  18. Serve hot with Roti or pulao.
