I have used jaggery, nuts, flax seeds, sesame seeds and coconut. They give additional nutritional benefit to the recipe. You can have Healthy oats-jaggery laddoos using 5 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you cook it.

Ingredients of Healthy oats-jaggery laddoos

  1. You need 1 cup of rolled oats.
  2. You need 1 cup of peanuts.
  3. It's 1 cup of jaggery.
  4. It's 5-6 pods of cardamom/elaichi (cardamom powder can also be used).
  5. It's as required of other ingredients like gratted coconut, other dryfruits, cashews, raisins,etc can be ued to enhance the flavour..

I have made the laddoo using the same process that is. Oats Laddoo is a very delicious and healthy sweet dish made from oats, coconut, jaggery and garnished with nuts. Oats is high in fibre and having oats regularly helps to lower cholesterol levels. This recipe is very easy to make.

Healthy oats-jaggery laddoos step by step

  1. Heat a pan and add the oats to that and roast till light golden in colour..
  2. In a grinder put the peanuts and grind that for 1-2 minutes..
  3. Then keep the ground peanut in a bowl. Add the oats in the grinder and grind it for about 2-3 minutes..
  4. Take out half of the ground oats and keep it in a bowl...Add some of the jaggery (one can use Jaggery powder instead) to that and then grind..
  5. After 1 min add the leftover oats, ground peanut and half of the jaggery. Add the cardamom pods. Grind all of these together. One can add dry fruits or grated coconut in this process..
  6. After 2-3 mins the mixture will be quite sticky. Take out in a plate. And make small balls from these. Almost 8-9 laddoos can be made from the given quantity of ingredients..
  7. Serve in a plate and garnish according to your choice..
