Ingredients of Semolina-Vermicelli Upma

  1. It's 1/2 cup of semolina.
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of vermicelli.
  3. It's 1-2 of green chilli(adjust acc.to taste).
  4. It's 1 pieces of ginger(finely shreded).
  5. You need 1/3 cup of Carrot finely cube.
  6. You need 1 of onion chopped.
  7. You need 1 of tomato chopped.
  8. You need 1/2 cup of peanuts.
  9. You need 1/4 tsp of Mustard seed.
  10. Prepare 2 tsp of chana daal.
  11. It's 1 tsp of urad daal.
  12. It's 1/8 tsp of asafoetida.
  13. You need 1 of dry red chilli.
  14. Prepare as needed of Curry leaves.
  15. Prepare 1 tbsp of Cooking oil.
  16. Prepare to taste of Salt.

  1. Collect all ingredients,With 1 tbsp of oil each to roast rava and vermicilli separately until light golden brown. Transfer the rava and vermicilli after roasting separately in to a bowl and mix well. Keep aside. Heat oil in a wide pan, add mustard seeds and let it splutter. Add chanadal and urad dal and fry till they turn brown. Now add chillies,curry leaves, and onion. Fry till onions turn translucent.now add peanuts & roast..
  2. Add chopped carrots, tomato, salt cover and cook till the vegetables are 3/4th cooked. Now add 4 cups of water. Once the water starts to boil, add rava-vermicilli from step 1 slowly while mixing. Within 2 minutes, all the water will be absorbed by the rava-vermicilli mix.
