Ingredients of Paneer Tikka Masala
- Prepare 250 - 500 grams of Cottage Cheese Paneer /.
- It's 2 numbers of Onion Large sized.
- You need 2 numbers of Tomato Large sized.
- It's 2 - 3 numbers of chilly Green.
- It's 2 teaspoons of Coriander leaves.
- You need to taste of Salt.
- It's 4 tablespoons of Oil.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of Cumin seeds.
- It's 1 teaspoon of Black pepper or powder.
- You need 1 teaspoon of Garam masala powder.
- It's 3/4 teaspoon of Ginger Garlic Paste.
- You need 3/4 tablespoon of chilly Kashmiri red powder.
- You need 1 teaspoon of Coriander powder.
- Prepare as required of Water.
Paneer Tikka Masala step by step
- Cut the paneer into medium sized cubes or as per your requirement.
- Heat 1-2 tablespoon of oil in a pan and saute paneer until they turn golden brown and crisp outside. You can even grill them. Throw a pinch of salt over the paneer.
- In a pan/wok (you may use the same pan you sauted paneer), heat a tablespoon of oil. Add cumin seeds. When they pop,add black pepper. If you are using powder,you can add it at a later stage.
- Add finely chopped onions,chopped green chillies and chopped tomatoes and saute. Add few pinches of salt and sugar. You don't have to wait for these to cook. Once their rawness is gone and slightly cooked,turn off the heat and let it cool.
- Put this into a mixer,add half cup of water and blend them until they turn into a soft and thick paste.
- Back to the pan, heat it with a tablespoon of oil, add the blended paste to it. Add ginger garlic paste. Once the rawness is gone,add all the powders. You can change the quantity of powder as per your taste requirement,but the basic taste of this should be of the garam masala.
- Add water as required but make sure it is a thick gravy and not too watery.
- Add salt to taste.
- One the gravy starts to boil,add the sauted/grilled paneer.Check for salt level and add if required.
- Simmer the flame,close the pan with a lid and let it heat for about a minute.
- Garnish with fresh coriander.
- Serve hot with roti,flavored rice or bread.
