- It's 100 gms of basmati rice.
- Prepare 200 gms of sugar.

- You need 2 tbsp of kewra essence.
- You need Few strands of Saffron.
- You need 2 tbsp of Chopped pistachios.

Phirni is a festive sweet dish prepared with full fat milk, fragrant rice like basmati, sugar and cardamom. From Persian origin, Mango Firni is a dessert like kheer in India.
Mango firni step by step
- Boil milk in a pan,until the quantity reduces to 1/2 litre..
- Soak rice for half an hour. Drain all water and spread the rice to dry.Once there is no moisture coursely grind it in mixer grinder..
- Now add powdered rice to the milk and stir continuously for 10-15 mins,so that no lumps are formed and the rice gets properly cooked..
- Coursely grind all nuts,and add it the the milk, stirring the firni continuously else the rice might stick at the bottom.
- Add sugar and cardamom powder.After five minutes switch off the gas..
- Once the mixture gets cooled add kewra essence and mango puree..
- Then add mango pieces and set in the fridge for 20 mins..
- How to decorate mango firni :.
- Wash all earthen containers nicely and allow it to dry completely.Then add the cooked firni in each container. Top it with chopped pistachios..
- Your mouth watering firni is ready serve chilled..
