- You need 2 cups of grated lauki or bottle guard.
- Prepare 2 tsp of ghee.
- You need 3 tsp of pistachios.
- You need 1 liter of milk.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of sugar.
- Prepare 1/3 tsp of cardamom powder.
- It's 2-3 drops of green colour.
Lauki Pista kheer step by step
- Peel and grate the bottle guard without seeds. Heat a pan with ghee and fry the grated lauki till they become dry in low flame..
- In the meantime boil the milk for sometime till it becomes half in quantity..
- Prepare the pista powder in a mortar..
- Add the thick milk in the fried bottle guard and cook it again for sometime. Then add the pista powder in it..
- Cook it till your desired consistency. Then add sugar, green colour and cardamom powder in it..
- Your lauki pista kheer is now ready..
- Serve it in chilled condition by garnishing with some chopped pistachios on it..
