  6. Prepare 1 tsp of Soaked chana dal.
  7. You need 1 of Chopped onion.

  10. Prepare 1/4 cup of Chopped carrot.
  11. Prepare 1/4 cup of Boiled peas.

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds..
  2. When they start to crackle add urad dal and chana dal. Fry till the dal becomes golden in colour..
  3. Add the curry leaves and fry few seconds..
  4. Add onions and green chillies. Let them cook for a minute..
  5. Now add carrot and peas. Fry them till they are almost soft..
  6. Add water and bring it to a boil..
  7. Add vermicilli and salt and mix well..
  8. Turn the heat to low. Stir till almost all the water is dried up and soaked by the vermicilli..
  9. Then turn off the flame and cover the pan. Let it sit for 8-10 minutes..
  10. Now add some coriander leaves and sprinkle some lemon juice on top..
  11. Mix all the ingredients well. Vermicilli Upma is ready to serve..
