Ingredients of Kaju Barfi

  1. Prepare 1 cup of cashews.
  2. Prepare 1/4 cup of water.
  3. You need 1 teaspoon of ghee.
  4. Prepare 1/2 cup of sugar.
  5. It's 1/8 teaspoon of cardamom powder.

Kaju Barfi instructions

  1. Grind cashews to fine powder and keep it aside.
  2. In a non stick pan, add sugar and water. Mix well.
  3. Keep stirring to form sugar syrup of 1 string consistency.
  4. Add in sieved cashew powder and mix well over low heat.
  5. Add cardamom and mix well.
  6. Once mixture starts forming a dough, add ghee and mix well..
  7. Transfer mixture to Greased butter paper.
  8. Grease palms with ghee and knead cashews mixture to smooth dough while still warm for 30 seconds.
  9. Cover the mixture with another butter paper and roll with rolling pin of desired thickness. Remove top butter paper.
  10. Decorate top with silver varq if required.
  11. Trim edges and slice into desired shape.
  12. Serve as required.
