  1. You need 1     1/3 cups of Milk.
  2. Prepare 1 tsp of Vanilla essence.
  3. It's 1 tbs of Cornflour.
  4. Prepare 2 of Egg yolk.
  5. You need 2 of Sugar heaped   Powdered   tbps.
  6. It's 1 packet of Raspberry strawberry or jelly.
  7. You need of Apples sliced ( optional).

Jelly and custard triffle with apples step by step

  1. Make the jelly as per the instructions on the packet.
  2. Leave to set in the fridge.
  3. After the jelly sets, start work on the custard.
  4. Keep the yolks in a dry bowl. Beat well with the sugar.
  5. In another small bowl, mix the cornflour well with some water and set aside.
  6. Boil the milk and the vanilla essence in a sturdy pot.
  7. When the milk boils, add slowly to the egg yolks-sugar mixture,  while continuously  whisking.
  8. Return this mixture to the burner and simmer on low heat.
  9. Add the cornflour and cook until the mixture becomes thick. This may take up to 7 - 8 mins..
  10. Pour the custard onto the set jelly..
  11. Arrange the sliced apples on top if required..
  12. Once cooled, return to the fridge. Chill until set..
