  1. Soak red gram overnight. Wash in the morning and add little water and salt and pressure cook it. Once cool remove water and grind it coarsely..

  3. Take 2 tbs oil in a pan, add ginger chilli paste, sesame seeds and dry coconut and sauté for 1 minute. Add grounded red gram and garam masala and sauté for 4-5 minutes.Let the mixture cool..
  4. Make patties of potato with red gram filling in the Centre..
  5. Seal the patties properly so they don’t break up while frying.marinate patties in corn flour..
  6. Heat oil for frying. Before putting in a patty see if it’s sufficiently hot- fumes will be visible. Slide the patty in the fry pan slowly along the side. Fry till they are golden brown. Turn them slowly so they don’t break. Keep flame on medium to ensure perfect golden brown..
  7. Take a serving plate. Garnish with curd, both Chutney, Sev, red chilli powder and coriander. Our yummy potato/red gram dahi Bhalla are ready!!.
