  1. It's 1/4 cup of rice soaked in 1/2 cup of water.
  2. It's 3 1/2 cups of full fat milk.
  3. It's 1/2 cup of cream.
  4. It's 6 tbsps of sugar (adjust according to your taste).
  5. You need 1/2 cup of finely sliced nuts (almonds, cashews and pistachios).
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of charoli.
  7. You need Handful of chopped nuts for garnish.
  8. It's Pinch of cardamom powder.
  9. It's Pinch of saffron soaked in a tablespoon of warm milk.

  1. Heat a heavy bottomed non stick pan on medium heat. Add the rice and water and cook the rice..
  2. Once the water has reduced, add milk and cook on low heat, stirring it..
  3. When the rice is fully cooked and tender, add the sugar and cream and keep stirring till it thickens..
  4. Add the saffron, cardamom powder, charoli and mixed nuts to it in and mix well..
  5. Take the pan off the heat and transfer the kheer into a serving bowl and garnish with nuts..
  6. You can either have it hot or cold..
