  2. It's 1/2 cup of chana dal.
  3. You need 1 of big onion.
  4. Prepare 1 of " stick cinnemon stick.

  7. It's 5/6 pod of black pepper.
  8. It's 2/3 of cloves.

Channa Dal Fried rice & Cucumber Raita step by step

  1. Soak rice and dal separately for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a heavy bottom rice pan add oil when hot add all khare masalas when splatter add sliced onions and saute them till dark brown.
  3. Add all dry masalas stir it now add soaked channa dal saute it.
  4. Add soaked rice stir with light hands add 3 cups or little more water depends upon the quality of rice give nice boil when 90% water evaporat slow the flame cover the lid and let it cook for more about 10 minutes.
  5. Don't open the lid quickly after few minutes with the back of laddle give stir to rice and take out in serving bowl.
  6. Serve with any raita of your choice or curd.
