Ingredients of Umm Ali
- You need 3 cups of milk.
- You need 2 tbsp of corn flour.
- Prepare 3 tbs of milk.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of Mava (khoya).
- You need 2 tbsp of sugar.
- It's 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder.
- It's 6 of bread slices cut into circles.
- It's As needed of Ghee for frying.
- It's 1 cup of water.
- You need 1/2 cup of sugar.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder.
- It's 2 tbsp of desiccated coconut.
- You need 1/2 cup of chopped almonds & pistachios.
Umm Ali instructions
- Fry the slices in ghee and keep in the serving dish..
- In a saucepan boil the milk and add the khoya,sugar,cardamom powder and cook for 5 mins on medium flame stirring continuously, then mix cornflour with 3 tbsp milk and add to the milk stirring continuously till it thickens.
- Boil water and add sugar on medium flame till the sugar dissolves, add the cardamom powder and off the flame.
- Arrange the fried slices of bread in the dish and pour hot sugar syrup on the fried bread slices & sprinkle desiccated coconut on it.
- Then sprinkle some chopped almonds and pistachios on it. Then pour the thickened milk on it. Now sprinkle desiccated coconut and the chopped almonds and pistachios on it. Serve hot or cold.
