Ingredients of Pineapple Firni

  1. Prepare 1 litre of Milk.
  2. It's 100 gms of Milk powder.
  3. It's 50 gms of Basmati rice.
  4. It's 60 gms of Milkmaid.
  5. You need 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder.
  6. You need 2 tbsp of Pineapple puree(store brought).
  7. Prepare 2/3 drops of pineapple essence.
  8. You need 1 drop of green food colour.
  9. Prepare 1/2 cup of Crush dry fruits (almond,cashew,pista).
  10. You need as required of Crushed dry fruits for toppings.

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 1 hour. Drain the water and spread the rice over a towel to make it dry..
  2. Put the dried rice into the grinder and ground the rice into the coarsely powdered texture..
  3. Boil the milk in a heavy bottom pan, till it reduces into half..
  4. Meanwhile, take out one bowl milk from it. Bring this into warm temperature. Then add the milk powder into this and mix properly. Keep aside..
  5. Now add the rice powder. Keep stirring, so that it shouldn’t stick at the bottom of the pan..
  6. Now add the milk+milk powder mixture into the pan. Keep stirring. Add the cardamom powder. Mix it properly. Keep the flam into low..
  7. When the rice would get boiled, then only add the milkmaid and. Keep the flame into low to medium. Stir and mix..
  8. When you get proper consistency, turn off the flame. Add the crushed dry fruits and mix..
  9. Keep this into room temperature. Take a bowl mix pineapple puree,pineapple essence and food colour together. Add this to the firni. Mix it..
  10. Now put the pineapple firni into earthen pot and keep in freeze to cool..
  11. Serve the cooled pineapple firni topped with crushed dry fruits. Enjoy!.
