Ingredients of Kaju Barfi

  1. It's 1/2 cup of sugar.
  2. It's 1 cup of Kaju grinded.
  3. It's 1/4 cup of Water.

Kaju Barfi instructions

  1. Grind Kaju to powder.
  2. Grind to fine powder.
  3. Now we will prepare chasni. Put sugar in a pan and add less than 1/4 cup water almost 3 tbsp.
  4. Put on the gas to prepare one string consistency syrup. Approximately 7-8 minutes..
  5. When the sugar melts cook for 1-2 minutes and sugar syrup is ready add kaju powder to the syrup.
  6. After mixing kaju powder cook till it gets thick consistency.
  7. Keep the flame on medium and stir it continuously.Check the paste whether it has become thick or not.Off the gas..
  8. Grease the plate with ghee and place the paste on it.Spread on the plate to cool.
  9. Knead on the greased plate and roll with a greased rolling pin keep aside for 2-3 hours to set..
  10. Now cut into diamond shaped pieces and scrape the kaju katli from the thali with the help of a knife.
  11. Store in an air tight container. It stays fresh for upto 7- 8 days..
