Ingredients of Traditional Hausa Jollof Rice
- You need 1 cup of rice.
- You need 3 pieces of pepper n 1 big onions.
- You need 5 of big Tomatoes.
- You need 2 tsp of iru(daddawa) grinded.
- Prepare 1 of small sized sweet potatoes.
- You need of Seasonings, salt n spices.
- It's 1 serving spoon of palmoil.
- You need of Water.
- You need of Meat.
Traditional Hausa Jollof Rice step by step
- Wash ur rice n perboil it n den strain off the water..
- Grate ur pepper n sm part of the onion n keep the rest for slicing..
- Cook ur meat wv spices(garlic,ginger n curry)onions till tender..
- Fry ur palmoil with grated ginger paste n onions. Add up ur grated pepper n onion n fry...add ur meat stock,seasonings,salt,meat,spice,iru n little water..
- Wash n cut ur potatoes into medium bits....n keep.
- Add ur perboiled rice to the boiling pot n allow to cook.
- Wen the water is about to dries up,add ur cut sweet potatoes n stir...allow to cook over medium heat for 5 min..
- Slice onions n tomatoes on the rice n cover to simmer for 2 mins. Take off the fire n serve.....
