Dates Kalakand.
You can cook Dates Kalakand using 11 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you achieve it.
Ingredients of Dates Kalakand
- Prepare 12-15 of dates soaked for an hour pitted and pureed.
- It's 150 gram of paneer crumbled (I used Amul paneer).
- It's 1 tbsp of ghee.
- Prepare 2-3 tbsp of milk powder.
- It's 1/3 cup of milk.
- You need pinch of salt.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of rose water.
- It's 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder.
- You need 1 tbsp of tutti frutti (option).
- You need 1 tbsp of Chopped pistachios to garnish.
- Prepare 1 tsp of dry rose petals.
Dates Kalakand instructions
- In a non-stick pan, add all the above mentioned ingredients (except tutti frutti, pistachios and dry rose petals)..
- Mix everything well and simmer on a low flame..
- Keep stirring continuously.......
- Now you can add the tutti frutti (which is purely optional)..
- Keep stirring again.......
- ..... till the moisture is all absorbed..
- Switch off the flame & transfer to a greased plate. Garnish with chopped pistachios & dry rose petals. Allow it to cool & refrigerate for some time..
- Cut as desired & enjoy at room temperature or chilled. Note - I have added some tutti frutti, but you may omit it and make it completely sugar free..
