Ingredients of Chole bhature
- Prepare 2 cup of boiled chickpeas.
- Prepare of Oil.
- Prepare 2 of tej patta / bay leaves.
- You need 2 of laung / cloves.
- You need 1 of cinnamon stick.
- Prepare 1 tbspn of ginger garlic paste.
- You need 2-3 of green chillies.
- You need 2 of medium size onion finely chopped.
- You need 2-3 tbspn of chola masala powder.
- It's 1 tsp of garam masala powder.
- You need 1 of big chopped tomato.
- You need 1 bunch of finely chopped coriander leaves.
- It's To taste of Salt.
Chole bhature instructions
- Soak chickpeas overnight in water and boil it and keep aside..(do not throw the water of chickpeas).
- Take a pan add oil, add laung,cinnamon stick,tej patta,ginger garlic paste and saute, add green chillies then add chopped onions and saute for a min and add tomatoes cook well...
- Now add chole masala,garam masala,cumin powder,coriander powder,salt mix well..till it looks like gravy..add little water..so the masalas don't get burnt..now add chickpeas with water..and cook on low flame...
- Once it starts drying the water..with spoon mash few of chickpeas so that it will thicken more in gravy..and will get an osum texture...
- Garnish with coriander and serve..with soft puris...
