Ingredients of Chole Bhature
- You need of For Chole,.
- You need 1 1/2 Cup of Chole/Chickpea (soak overnight and boil).
- Prepare 1 cup of Curd.
- You need 2 of Bay leaves.
- You need 2 of Dried red chillies.
- You need 1/2 teaspoon of Cumin seeds.
- It's 1 pinch of Asafoetida.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of Red chilli powder.
- You need 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric powder.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of Coriander powder.
- You need 1 teaspoon of Chole masala.
- You need 1/2 teaspoon of Garam masala powder.
- It's 1 tablespoon of Dried fenugreek leaves.
- It's 1 tablespoon of Coriander leaves.
- You need To taste of Salt.
- It's As required of Oil.
- You need of For Bhatoore,.
- Prepare 1 cup of All purpose flour.
- You need 1 tablespoon of Semolina.
- It's 1/2 cup of Curd.
- You need 1/2 teaspoon of Baking powder.
- Prepare 1 pinch of Baking soda.
- Prepare 1 teaspoon of Sugar powder/Caster sugar.
- Prepare To taste of Salt.
- It's As required of Oil.
Chole Bhature instructions
- For Chole:- Heat oil in a wok and add asafoetida and cumin seeds in it and allow it to crackle..
- Now add dried red chillies and bay leaves in it and let it crackle..
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, take curd, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chole masala, salt and mix it well..
- Now pour this mixture into the wok and mix it well..
- Then cover it with the lid and allow it to cook for 8-10 minutes on medium flame..
- Once this mixture is cooked properly add boiled chole/chickpeas in it and cook it well..
- Now add water in it as per your requirement and bring one boil in it. (Try to use the boiled chickpea water too).
- Then add garam masala powder and dried fenugreek leaves in it, mix it and again cover it with lid and cook it for another 5 minutes then switch off the flame..
- Chole is ready now, garnish it with coriander leaves..
- For Bhature:- In a bowl, take all purpose flour semolina, salt, sugar powder, a tablespoon of oil, baking powder, baking soda and mix it..
- Now add curd in it and make a soft dough of it and allow it to rest for 2 hours..
- Now cut pieces from the doughand make bhatoore of it with the help of rolling pin..
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a wok and deep fry bhature till it get nice golden colour..
- Your bhature is ready now..
- Serve chole bhature with pickle and chutney or either way..
