Ingredients of Chole bhature

  1. Prepare 2 cups of All purpose flour (Maida) 1/4 teaspoon Baking powder.
  2. You need 2 teaspoon of Oil.

  6. You need 1 cup of Kabuli chana (White Chick Peas/Chole) soaked overnight.

  10. It's 1/2 teaspoon of Cumin seeds (Jeera).
  11. You need 2 of Onion paste.
  12. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of Turmeric Powder (Haldi).
  13. Prepare 1 tbsp of Coriander powder.
  14. It's 1 teaspoon of Cumin Powder.
  15. Prepare 2 tbsp of Oil.

  1. Add maida in a bowl..
  2. Add baking powder, salt, oil and mix well..
  3. Add yogurt and knead to a smooth dough..
  4. Cover it with muslin cloth and allow to rest for 3-4 hours..
  5. After the completion of time, you will observe that the dough becomes even more softer, moist and slightly raised..
  6. Once again knead the dough..
  7. Now take a small portion of it and roll it in an oval shape..
  8. There is a trick of easily making a puff of bhatura..
  9. Now deep fry and when it puffs up, turn it to other side..
  10. While frying these bhaturas, press the centre of the bhatura lightly with a frying spoon. This makes the bhatura easy puff up..
  11. Deep fry till it turns to light brown colour. In the same way, make the remaining bhaturas.
  12. Pressure cook the kabuli chana with bay leaf, cinnamon and tea bag, until they are soft..
  13. Discard the tea bag, drain and keep aside..
  14. Heat oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds..
  15. Now add the onion paste. After 2-3 minutes add the ginger-garlic paste..
  16. Saute till the onion turns golden brown..
  17. Then add the red chilli powder, dry mango powder, chole masala, turmeric powder, cumin seed powder, coriander powder and the salt..
  18. Now add the tomato paste, and saute till it comes to boil.
