Ingredients of Mix Dal Appam
- It's 1/4 cup of Split Bengal Gram(chana dal).
- It's 1/4 cup of Split Black Gram (udad dal).
- Prepare 1/4 cup of Split Red Gram (Tuvar dal).
- Prepare 1/2 cup of Split Green Gram.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of Rice.
- It's to taste of Salt.
- You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
- Prepare 1 tsp of cumin.

- Wash and Soak all the dal and rice together for 1or 2 hour.
- Grind all the ingredients into fine paste and add salt and Turmeric powder..
- Set the batter aside for at least 6 to 8 hour until the batter ferments and rise well.
- Pre heat Appam pan and grease with oil pour batter in each cavities then cover with lid and cook in low flame until the bottom side is golden brown then flip the appam and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
- After 2 to 3 minutes remove them out in plate and serve with choice of chutney or tomato ketchup..
