The color, change in the texture, and mouthwatering taste makes it different from traditional pav bhaji. Black Pav Bhaji is a fancy version of the famous street food Pav Bhaji.

Ingredients of Black pav bhaji

  1. You need 250 gm of potato.
  2. You need 250 gm of tomato.
  3. It's 50 gm of pea.
  4. Prepare 1/2 of capsicum.
  5. It's 2 of medium size onion.
  6. You need leaves of Coriander.
  7. You need 6-7 of garlic clove.
  8. It's of For Black masala.
  9. You need 2 of bay leaves.
  10. It's 1 tbs of coriander seeds.
  11. It's 1 tsp of jeera.
  12. Prepare 2 of stone flower(must).
  13. Prepare 1 of black cardamom.
  14. Prepare 1 tsp of black pepper.
  15. It's 1 tsp of amchor powder.
  16. Prepare 1/2 tsp of clove.
  17. It's 1 of cinnamon stick.
  18. It's 1 tsp of fennal seed (Sauf).
  19. You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
  20. Prepare 1/2 of dry coconut.
  21. You need of Butter as required.

While, this Pav Bhaji is not as popular as the usual red-colored ones, but the Black Pav Bhaji had begun to make ground for itself. I had loved its taste and the concept of black pav Bhaji and this was a perfect fit for the contest. Black pav bhaji instructions

  1. Dry roaste all these ingredients in pan..
  2. Burn the dry coconut. The out layer of coconut should be dark try not to burn completely inside.
  3. Make fine powder of roasted spices, and coconut separately. Keep it aside..
  4. In a kadai take 1 tbs oil heat it on medium flame add chopped tomatoes, boiled pea and chopped capsicum.
  5. Cook them well till tomatoes become soft and massy then add boiled potatoes.
  6. Mash it with potato masher, no big chunks of veggies should not be left.
  7. Now add burnt coconut powder, masala powder, and amchor powder.
  8. Mix it well, add 1/2 cup of water.
  9. In other pan add butter chopped onions and garlic paste.
  10. Soute them till onion become pink in colour, now add cooked, black bhaji and 1/2 cup of water, cook it for 3 to 4 min.on medium flame. garnish with coriander leaves, and onion butter, Serve hot with pav.
