Ingredients of Steamed Dahi Vada

  1. You need 1/2 cup of moong dal.
  2. It's 1 cup of Urad dal.
  3. You need 1 of green chilli.

  6. Prepare 2-3 cup of curd.
  7. You need 8 tsp of powdered sugar.
  8. Prepare 4 tsp of INO.
  9. It's 3-4 tbsp of oil.

  11. Prepare 3-4 tsp of red chilli powder.
  12. It's as required of tamarind chutney.
  13. Prepare few of pomegranate seeds.

  1. Wash and soak moong dal and urad dal seperately for 4-5 hours..
  2. Now remove excess water, wash once again both dal. In a mixi jar take both dal, ginger, green chilli and make fine paste..
  3. Now remove this batter in big bowl, add salt and bit the mixture in one direction for 5 minutes so that it becomes fluffy..
  4. Now take some portion out and add ENO in it. Mix well..
  5. Grease the Idli stand with oil,add batter in it and steam for 14 minutes (7 minutes on high flame, 7 minutes on low flame)..
  6. Now let it cool down for 2 minutes, remove idlis and soak in a luck warm water for 5 minutes. Now squeeze out extra water from idlis..
  7. In curd add powered sugar, black salt and mix well..
  8. Take idlis in a serving plate. Over that add curd, tamarind chutney, sprinkle some red chilli powder, coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds..
  9. Steamed Dahi Vada is ready to serve..
