  1. It's 2 pieces of rohu fish.
  2. You need 1 of onion chopped and grinded.
  3. It's 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic paste.

  5. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of garam masala powder.

Rui macher jhal (rohu fish curry) step by step

  1. Marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish keep aside.
  3. Now temper jeera seeds and bay leaf.
  4. Add the masala paste,jeera powder and red chilli Powder.
  5. Saute well adding salt and turmeric powder.
  6. Add tomato puree and saute well till it starts releasing oil.
  7. Add water and boil.
  8. Add the fried fish and cover it for a while.
  9. Finally add sugar (optional) and garam masala powder.
  10. Serve it with plain rice.
