Melon Kheer. Two weeks of successful Blogging Marathon and now its the third week with "Seasonal Theme". As it is Spring/Summer in most parts of the world, you will find weeks full of refreshing and energising recipes to enjoy the spring. Mother nature is always surprising and strange.

I make this Kheer often during Navratri or for Dussehera.

Ingredients of Melon Kheer
- You need 1 nos of Small size Melon.
- You need 1 tsp of Ghee.
- You need 1/2 cup of Semolina.
- It's 1 litre of Milk.
- You need 4 tbsp of Powder Sugar.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of Condensed Milk.
- It's 1 tsp of Cardamom Powder.
- It's 1/4 cup of Mix Dry-Fruits.
It is as rich as Rice Kheer but takes less than half the time to put it together. As promised, I always bring easy and efficient recipes to you.. Muskmelon payasam, or muskmelon and sago (sabudana) with coconut milk, is a light, cool, and refreshing sweet dish. It is a creamy, chewy, fruity pudding with melon and is very similar to a light sago (sabudana) kheer.
Melon Kheer step by step
- Wash and cut melon in chunk. Now make puree..
- Heat ghee in a pan, now add semolina. Roast it till golden brown. Remove in plate keep aside..
- Now heat milk, cook it as it started boiling, heat for 5min at low flame..
- Now add semolina.Mix well. cook for 2-3 mins..
- Now add powdered sugar, condensed milk, and cardamom powder. Mix well and cook 2 -3 mins..
- Now keep aside to cool it down..
- As it come on room temp., Add melon puree. Mix well..
- Add dry fruits, keep in fridge and served chilled..
Payasam is a south Indian dessert When it becomes hot, add the grated water melon and sauté for few minutes. Add the sugar, milk and cook the water melon. When it becomes soft, add the milk powder mixed in little water/milk and bring to boil. Add the cardamom powder and switch off the gas. Add water,grind to make a paste & set aside.
